The Plant Problem

2013

  • Plants are the primary producers on this planet.
  • We can only exist through consuming their toxic waste, oxygen.
  • Before plants, their food carbon dioxide was plentiful; now it constitutes less than 0.5% of air.
  • Greedily incorporating it into their bodies, plants set up their own doom.
  • Luckily, evolution breeds recyclers.
  • It's up to us to release their sequestered food, and save them from starvation and intoxication.
We animals are only a transient stage in the development of this universe.
